Supporting UK Service leavers and their families in the transition to civilian life - research brief

Abstract: RAND Europe was commissioned by the Forces in Mind Trust (FiMT), a charity which aims to improve the lives of ex-Service personnel and their families, to conduct the first ever systematic review of literature on the support provided to families in transition from military to civilian life in the UK. The purpose of the review was to develop a better understanding of the available evidence base and potential gaps in the literature on families in transition. This involved a systematic search of relevant databases and an objective interrogation of academic and grey literature.
