Abstract: Kritikos and DeVoe in this issue have explained the challenges facing both at home and serving parentsacross the deployment cycle. This article presents what is currently known about the coping strategies used by parents to support their young children and maintain a positive family environment, and the educational and clinical interventions available to them. It aims to help early years’ professionals understand better what the needs of military families with young children are and how to support them.
