Defence personnel NHS commissioning bi-annual statistics: financial year 2020/21

Abstract: This bi-annual official statistic provides summary statistics on the number of serving UK armed
forces personnel and entitled civilian personnel with a Defence Medical Services (DMS) registration as at 1 April 2020. Information in this report is used by the MOD, NHS, Public Health England (PHE) and local authorities to make informed decisions regarding the commissioning of clinical services in different parts of the country depending on the size and composition of the UK armed forces populations requiring access to care.
