Abstract:This evaluative report assesses the Armistice and Armed Forces Communities programme, delivered in 2018 by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust. Utilizing silhouette displays in remembrance events, the scheme awarded 2,773 community grants—including to organisations typically outside of standard Covenant eligibility. Outcomes scored highly, with average engagement ratings of 9.05 (enhancement of events), 8.93 (reflection on the Armed Forces), and 8.93 (community cohesion), and 69% of projects reporting impact beyond expectations. The findings demonstrate the programme’s success in promoting military–civilian connection through participatory memorialisation.
