Abstract:The Veterans Should Not Be Forgotten Programme Evaluation Report documents the rapid design, delivery, and impact of 120 emergency grants (total value £2.39 million) distributed across the UK during the first COVID‑19 lockdown. Commissioned by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust and backed by the Chancellor’s Veterans’ Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund, this programme enabled swift support to isolated veterans. Through case study analysis, four key service themes emerged—Staying Connected, Learning New Skills, Supporting Veterans, and In Partnership—highlighting the flexible, locally tailored nature of responses that fostered virtual wellbeing and fostered collaboration among veteran support organisations.
