Body mass index misclassification of overweight and obesity in Czech military personnel

Abstract:Obesity is a global health concern, impacting various populations, including military personnel. Body mass index (BMI) is a commonly used method to assess obesity, but its accuracy in reflecting body composition, especially in physically fit individuals, has been questioned. The aim of the pilot study was to compare the BMI classification with the body fat percentage (BF%) and waist circumference (WC) among Czech military personnel.
