Abstract:The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Headache Centers of Excellence (HCoE) aim to enhance headache care through multidisciplinary approaches. Between October 2023 and September 2024, 589,408 veterans received care for a documented headache diagnosis. Although behavioral medicine is considered an “integral part” of headache care, scalable implementation models within national healthcare systems are lacking. To address this gap, the HCoE launched a nationwide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Headache (CBT-HA) training program and introduced biofeedback services. This letter outlines implementation efforts guided by the RE-AIM framework.
