Abstract: The article focuses on a study evaluating the effectiveness of the Live Long Walk Strong (LLWS) physical therapy program in improving executive function among veterans with slow gait speed. The study involved 103 participants who were randomly assigned to either the LLWS program or a wait-list control group over an 8-week period. Results indicated that participants in the LLWS group showed significant improvements in letter and category fluency, suggesting that the program may enhance certain cognitive functions linked to mobility. However, no significant differences were found in other cognitive measures, highlighting the need for further research on the relationship between mobility treatments and cognitive outcomes.
