The reducing Veteran Homelessness report is a detailed look at the growing crisis facing ex-service men and women across the UK, commissioned as a pilot and evaluation by The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust. This report outlines the need for a new approach to Veteran homelessness. It outlines the Royal British Veterans Enterprise (RBVE) Step In Programme, a holistic approach to supporting the community that centres each Veteran in their own bespoke plan for the future. Also included are details of the Reducing Veteran Homelessness pilot project, which aims to improve outcomes for residents at the RBVE emergency hostel. The goals of the Pilot project: 1) Increased mental health support would help Veterans articulate their new life goals. 2) Increased mental health support would help Veterans engage with the RBVE Step In programme. Including hobbies, positive routines, employment coaching, and paid employment opportunities, and 3) This would increase the 'Move On rate' above RBVE's 1/3 benchmark, which had remained static since 2017.
