Taking forward the findings of the Veterans Scoping Exercise in Wales and the Strategy for our Veterans

Abstract: In November 2018, the UK wide Strategy for our Veterans was published. The strategy set out the principles and aims needed to continue to meet the needs of older veterans as well as the wider veteran community over the next ten years, and set the right conditions for society to empower, and support, them for the next 100 years. This document sets out the Welsh response to the strategy. In Wales, the Welsh Government is committed to that vision and along with our partners through the Armed Forces Expert Group, third sector organisations and Regional and Local Covenant fora, we are committed to supporting Veterans and their families in all aspects of their life. We believe this strategy will enhance and support that work and build on the significant progress that has been made to date.
