Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Service Members Experiences as Undergraduates: A Qualitative Case Study
This case study examines the experiences of lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) service members in higher education. A total of 7 participants were recruited to take part in the survey, of which four were LGB identifying service members, with three higher education administrators also being surveyed. Analysis identified 3 main themes: (1) experiences specific to an LGB identity, (2) experiences specific to a military identity, and (3) experiences in the intersection of LGB and military identities. The study concludes by highlighting the implications for military-affiliated practices.
